Designing Embedded System Using Real Time OS & Robotics (Capstone Project)

Course Description

In order to successfully finish undergraduate school, all students must complete a senior project called Research Capstone or complete a capstone project, which is encapsulated in the ES-51431. Senior Project of ES-51431: A report (and perhaps demonstration) describing a development, survey, or small research project in Embedded Systems or an application to Computer Science/Technology.

The aims of this course are:

  • To integrate material from several courses.
  • To introduce the professional literature.
  • To gain experience in writing a technical document.
  • To show evidence of independent work.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

Capstone projects are usually more experiential projects where students take what they have learned throughout the course of their undergraduate program and apply it to examine a specific idea. This is intended for students to perform an independent project, either a research-based project or an implementation-based one. Students are expected to be able to look at real world examples and situations, exchange their points of view based on experience and discuss potential solutions to problems. Ultimately, this will prepare the students for a technical leadership role in their area of study as they complete their degree.
